Description
This a nice 2nd press (1980ish copy, but no embossing on the cover) of Joy Division's 12" single for the amazing song "Transmission", backed with (the even better?) "Novelty". This band can do no wrong in my book, and if you don't know their discography of 2 albums and 1 double album of things mostly from their last recordings, including their only hit "Love Will Tear Us Apart". The vinyl, as you can see in the pics, is incredibly clean and shiny, lots of color. It does have several very light marks that you can see only / mostly if you hold it to the light and turn it sideways with your face a few inches away lol. You can hear just a bit of pop crackle but, because of how well it's mixed and mastered, you only hear it when the music isn't playing. In the dead wax on Side One, you see two phrases, "I've Seen The Atrocities" from the lyrics, and "A Porky Prime Cut", meaning it was mastered by the amazing George "Porky" Peckham, UK record engineer extraordinaire who mastered so many iconic albums, and what a job he did on this. These songs jump out of the speakers! The cover of this is only VG or so, with some wrinkles all around it from the light card stock used in the UK at the time, and the spine is rough in the middle as the LP tried to escape out the back door. Like you, I buy vinyl on eBay for my own collection, and am so often disappointed from inaccurate descriptions & fuzzy pictures. We aren't one of those sellers! We've been selling on eBay for awhile now, having stopped for a slew of surgeries and now retired from employment because of it. So, we're opening up a record store where it will be easier for me to stay active with my issues, and all proceeds from sales of our (mostly rare / scarce) vinyl goes towards making our store a reality (building records racks now, and our CD racks are full!). I post here as often as I can, please message if you're looking for something in particular. WE MAIL UNTO OTHERS AS WE WOULD HAVE THEM MAIL TO US! This will be by Media Mail, which is a bit slower but allows us to ship all US vinyl purchases FREE! We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours. Lastly, yes, we are a few dollars more on average, but, we use new official LP mailers, cardboard inserts, plastic sleeves, and it will arrive safely.
