Description

This rare jazz album is by saxophonist J.R. Monterose. The self-titled lp was released in 1955 on Blue Note 1536. He is joined by Ira Sullivan,Horace Silver,Wilbur Ware and Philly Joe Jones. Vinyl is a deep groove pressing on the original thick blue and white label with 767 Lexington Avenue adress and has RVG and the ear etched in the dead wax. It visually grades at vg+ to vg++ with super shine and a few light and superficial scuffs. It sounds great through my mid-line equipment and plays surprisingly clean for a record that is more than fifty years old.I have been conservative with my grading on this one. Cover is a solid vg+ with only a little light wear on the front and some fraying on the bottom border. Back cover is real clean too. Money back guarantee if not completely satisfied. Buyer pays for shipping and handling.
