IMPRESSIVE PERIOD Deram Nova six piece from this obscure and very rare heavy progressive jazz rock band working the same ground as say Colloseum, Running Man, Heaven, Nucleus and Samurai. Heavy riffing embellished with blasts of well timed sax and great long tracks that take you to the sort of places that you never quite come back from.
Clearly the band meant business as all the tracks harness a degree of intensity that burns long and deep. Tracks like 'Southampton Blues', 'I Don't Need No Buddy', 'Prostitute' and the title track 'Iguana' suggests that they were more interested in the darker side of jazz rock as the riffs and themes kick hard and take no prisoners.
Was once a bargain bin regular but over the last 15 years has been getting seriously rare. In fact I think I've seen more Running Man originals than this one.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean condition. A couple of lone spindle marks and very little other signs of use. Grades as a strong MINT-!
Cover: Minor signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated front laminated single cover - displays nice shiny gloss. Sharp corners (two tiny dings), no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Unlaminated rear displays some ageing - nothing serious.
