Historic recordings of Tolkien reading from his typescripts of his books recorded on a tape recorder by George Sayer, then Head of English at Malvern College, during a stay at Sayer’s house in Malvern in August 1952. These were written before the books were published. Also includes an unpublished poem. LP cover shows an original picture by Tolkien ‘Conversation With Smaug’.

This rare almum is a USA issue. Record is unmarked and my highest grade of Near Mint. NO scuffs or scratches.
LP in a thick card sleeve which is excellent. No rips or writing. Has clear tape on the top edge.
