Condition notes:
The Poems of Middle Earth LP is VG+ condition.
Vinyl is superb - has some minimal hairline marks but not scratched. Clean and glossy.
The sleeve is in a good plus to very good condition. The spine is split almost all the way down. But partially intact rest of the sleeve is very nice for age. Some ring wear, some minor edge wear, and some corner creases. Generally, it looks nice. Spine could be repaired.
The acetate 7" is - Bilbo's Last Song - Donald Swann.
The inclusion of an unreleased bonus Acetate 7" single recorded by Donald Swann. This recording is Bilbo's Last Song, which Donald recorded at Tolkien's house on his own piano - this version, which is not on the Poems and Songs album and is ultimately unreleased on vinyl. This acetate was recorded by Donald and is a solo recording. There is a duet of this track, which was recorded with John Amis. The acetate has the same track on both sides and plays through well. There are a few pops and crackles, but without playing too many times, it's in great condition, and I don't believe there are any other copies in existence of this.
This is a rare LP with the inclusion of the rare acetate 7". You will not get this LP with this unreleased record anywhere else.
This is a must buy for JRR Tolkien / Donald Swann fans.
Please see all of the pictures as these form part of the description.
