Description
Argo 12-inch 33 RPM four-LP boxed set # ZPL-1196/9 is Nicol Williamson reading an adapted and condensed version of J. R. R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit." It is stereo and dated 1974, and comes with the four-page booklet shown in the last five pictures.
The records look to be in about VG+ or better condition, still beautifully shiny and with very little visible surface wear of any significance. I've played large parts of each side on my Audio-Technica turntable, and they played through with no jumps or repeats, and mostly just typical light background noise, with some occasional clicks or pops or light ticking. No guarantees, but I would expect the rest to play about the same. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, however, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment.
The box is in used and worn condition, with the lid hinge still intact, but the corners of the lid split, plus some surface scuffs and general wear around the edges. Each record has its own plain white inner sleeve.
