JUAN DE LA CRUZ Psych/Rock LP SUPER SESSION RARE
SUPER SESSION the early Psych Rock LP album of the legendary band JUAN DE LA CRUZ, cult figure and king of the pinoy rock scene. Performed by Mike Hanopol and Wally Gonzales with session drummer Nides Aranz-Mendez (Joey Smith, regular drummer of the JCB was so wasted he was not able to perform). One of their landmark lps wherein they performed live at the University of the Philippines Theater. 2 versions of this lp were produced, this being the first/earlier version with the embosed cover jacket. It features the songs:
SARAP NG BUHAY (Mike Hanopol - Wally Gonzales)
KAGATAN (Mike Hanopol - Wally Gonzales)
LANGIT (Mike Hanopol - Wally Gonzales)
GREAT PINOY ANTIQUITIES (Mike Hanopol - Wally Gonzales)
HIMIG NATIN (Mike Hanopol - Wally Gonzales - Joey Smith)
Produced by SUNSHINE RECORDS. Copyright by VICOR Music Corp. Very difficult to find and highly sought after among serious collectors of Philippine Rock. Very highly sought after by Rockers around the world. Argueably their best LP ever recorded.
Used copy. 1/4" seam split on upper right corner. Corners partly rounded. Top edge previously taped for protection leaving brownish stain. Light scuff marks from shelf wear on the album cover. Some brown toning noticeable on upper left edge rear of cover.
Vinyl has not been play tested. Visual check shows little hairline scratches. Appears to have been played lightly although there appears a deep scratch on track 1 of the 2nd side towards the end of the song from improper handling. May cause mis-tracking. Rest of the vinyl should play well. Center label still has original protective cellophane cover attached.
I have included some photos for you to see.
