Description
A voice like warmed honey poured over dark poetic lyrics. You can't help but make conparance between British born Nick Drake and this American born singer songwriter. Both only got truly recognised, for their genus years after their death. Both dwelt in deep melloncolly that reflected in their music. Judee Sill first artist signed too Asylum record label, at the time had a long history of herion abuse, had been involved with friends in armed robbery, had resorted to prostitution to feed her habbit. She only had two records out there and the makings in demo form off another, that only came out in the mid ninties. Both albums at the time were commercial failures. The record presented here is the first self titled album. Be careful if shopping for a first edition on this album, as you will find the American coding and earliest version different to this the British first press. The coding on the American copy is ( RD 5050 ), this British copy is ( SYLA 8751 ) and matches the coding in the collectors guide. Apart from a slight pressure mark too the back cover this record is in great order.
