Description

Here is an original UK vinyl copy of the brilliant but rare Farewell Aldebaran by Judy Henske and Jerry Yester on Straight (STS 1052) from 1969 - one of the best acid/folk albums of the era.

The thick slab of vinyl lies flat on the turntable and plays vibrantly. Both of these pretty labels are unmarked and show only moderate spindle marks and certainly no spindle wear, indicating little use. Both sides of the vinyl look lovely in natural light and when closely examined under harsh halogen light show up the usual light surface marks (handling/sleeve withdrawal marks but certainly no feelable marks). This fine disc warrants a grade of VG+ (UK Record Collector gradings).

The striking but vulnerable unlaminated gatefold sleeve made by E. J. Day is a perfectly presentable and useable example but suffers from the usual edgewear, ringwear and a little light creasing. A grading of VG- would seem appropriate.
