Auction is for an ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL CANADIAN-ONLY PRESSING of VARIOUS ARTISTS' "UNSELFCONSCIOUSLY CANADIAN" LP from 1971 on CBC Transcription/Radio Canada. WOW!!! Absolutely rarest of the rare, Canadian sunshine pop/vocal jazz "Holy Grail"! Issued in insanely low #'s, if you think the CBC LM releases (Judy Singh, Stephanie Taylor, Mutual Understanding, etc) are rare… well, this just absolutely never comes up (no hype)!! Not until the recent decommissioning of CBC radio station library's did these even come out of the woodwork as they were only ever issued to these same radio stations to promote then-recent Can-con requirements established that very year (see 3rd photo). The nature of the record itself, housed in a gimmick flimsy gatefold sleeve, ensured not many of those would even survive (or at least in good shape). Features 2 beautiful & sublime sunshine pop/jazz tracks from Judy Singh, in the same vein as her LM release, and exclusive to this LP. All tracks are on the session are arranged by Tommy Banks (of Tom & Judy). Gatefold gimmick cover has station stamp and some blue pen beside track listing otherwise flawless. Vinyl has a few very light and barely visible scuffs/marks, just shy of NM. However, there is a pressing depression/bump that is on the second tracks on both sides of the LP. I've tried to take a photo of it in the light to give you an idea (see last photo). When played over this, you can hear it very faintly but it's not that noticeable at all once the music is playing as it dominates it almost completely. I've downgraded it to VG+ as a result of this pressing mark/defect. Regardless, the last one on eBay (which was VG!) went for over $500 and this is still easily a better copy then that one. Nice copy of an unbelievable Canadian rarity!

XpressPost within Canada can cost as little as a few dollars more while a package to the U.S. is approx. $20 more and for International destinations rates start at about $50 for 1 LP ($60+ for Japan, Australia, Asia, etc). Please note that ALL International packages over 2kg ship via XpressPost (as small packet air is only for parcels under 2kg) hence International postage rates almost doubling at 2-3kg's as listed above.
