Description
A great opportunity to buy an ORIGINAL copy of a VINYL LP from the 1960’s by Juicy Lucy called "Juicy Lucy".
This is a U.K. issue released in 1969 on the collectable Vertigo (large swirl) label (VO 2) (stereo). It has a total of 8 tracks (see photos for track listing).
This is one of the first pressings having the "A Philips Record Product" credit on the label (see photos).
The matrix numbers are: - 847901 VO/2Y A//1 420 1 1 5 (side one) and 847901 VO 2 2Y//2 420 1 1 4 (side two).
The vinyl is in a lovely clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition. I always grade and examine records under a bright table lamp and there are a few light surface marks evident, some of which may well have been transit scuffs caused by the inner sleeve. The light surface marks are not serious and have no effect whatsoever on the terrific sound quality. I have played the whole album and the record plays superbly.
There are a few spindle marks noticeable on the label when tilted towards the light, but apart from this, the labels are completely clean and free from any writing, marks or major defects (see photos).
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed in its original poly-lined die-cut SWIRL inner sleeve in EXCELLENT condition, with just minor creasing near the corners.
The unlaminated gatefold picture cover is in an EXCELLENT condition. The edges and spine are still fairly strong and the text on the spine is clearly readable (see photo). There is just some minor shelf wear along the edges, on the spine and at the corners. Inside the gatefold on the right hand side, there is a mark at the top and bottom, but these are minor and only noticeable when tilted towards the light. Apart from this, both sides are clean and undamaged.
Overall a great example (especially the vinyl) of this highly collectable 43 year old record and cover.
