Description
I'm In The Mood For Love / I Must Have That Man. Sleeve VG-/G+, Record VG with DJ writing on label.
Except for her first single (Cry Me A River) , Julie's singles are all pretty scarce - but NONE as rare as this one. The two songs were recorded in '56 and '61, and paired up on 45 only for this custom pressing for songwriter Jimmy McHugh's music publishing company. Check out that unusual catalog number on the label. All of her other singles were issued in Liberty's 55xxx series.
Now for the really rare part. The accompanying sleeve was only printed for this pressing and it's only the second copy I've seen in 40 years. It's printed on glossy stock and lists McHugh's big writing hits on the back. Liberty Records is mentioned on the front, but no numbers.
Record plays nicely with just a few tics, labels have that annoying station inventory number written on both sides. Sleeve has no seam splits or writing, but handling/storage wear around the edges and in the center. Kinda rough but EXTREMELY rare. Whether you collection Julie or picture sleeves, this is a must-have.
