original and ONLY pressing:
this AMAZING piece of Afro-Latin-Funk flavored jazz
is NOT available on ANY lp or compilation as far as we can tell
BLUE NOTE records 45-1658 (MONO of course -
before the advent of stereo recordings)
Vinyl is VISUALLY Graded:
this is in VG condition
SURFACE LOOKS REASONABLY CLEAN, but there are finger felt random scratches:
we play graded both sides - side A has intermittent pops and clicks, not too annoying,
and most of these don't occur after the first third of this side.
Side B has random pops and clicks that are not as loud or obtrusive,
but they occur here and there during most of the recording.
Anyone skilled at digitally removing pops and clicks will be pleasantly rewarded,
as the pressing is quiet between the random noise described above, with GREAT sound.
Mastering (lacquer-cutting) and presumably the recording are by Rudy Van Gelder!
RVG is etched in the dead-wax.
