Description
Original 1968 U.S. stereo press of LP on yellow Epic label
July ( self titled)
pr0m0tional release with rubber stamp designation
Demo Copy on back slick
CONDITION:
cover: G/VG
lots of wear / ring wear ~ wear to edges & corners ~
edge paper is completely worn off in some places ~
(almost all of the top edge paper is worn off ~ but, appears
to be all solid with no seam splits, leading me to believe this has
been re-glued at some point)
vinyl VG+(+)
clean & glossy ~ half a dozen lite surface scratches on each side
only 1 is deep enough to be felt with fingertips ~ 1 tiny one on
one cut of side ~ does not affect play in any way ~
~ plays excellent with several lite clicks/pops &
a couple of lite crackles in a couple of spots
~ nothing bad or disturbing at all ~ nothing that gets in the way
psychedelic masterpiece by this renown UK group
this has got it all ~ phasing , fuzz , etc.
here’s the review from Joynson’s psych / progressive
reference " Tapestry of Delights" :
July recorded what has become one of the most sought-after British psychedelic sixties
albums. Twenty-five years on time has not been kind to all the tracks (e.g. Jolly Mary) but
overall it's well worth purchasing for its eerie brand of psychedelia (on Dandelion Seeds
and My Clown) and some fine psychedelic guitar work (Crying Is For Writers).
