Description

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 45 RPM VINYL RECORD

I'm listing more 45's, so please keep checking my auctions
and combine shipping on your wins.

Very rare, PRIMITIVE ROCKABILLY 45, issued in 1956. One side features some outrageous hiccup style vocals. Both sides are great, hard-rocking genuine rockabilly at its peak.

JUNIOR THOMPSON also recorded for the METEOR and BADD record labels; this record on the TUNE label is not numbered, but the matrix numbers in the trailoffs are SO-174 & SO-175. The TUNE label to my knowledge was located in Florence, Alabama, and this may be the first 45 they issued; it is certainly one of the earliest.

This record lists at $150-250 for a copy in excellent condition in Osbourne's 2004 price guide; this copy is not in excellent condition, but it plays through with no skips.

WHO'S KNOCKING?
(Jas. Joiner)

Label has the number "101" and an "X" written on one side of label. Label has some smudges.

VINYL IS GRADED VG. There is wear and scuffing, but record plays through with no skips.

PLEASE READ VINYL GRADING GUIDELINES BELOW CAREFULLY

BASIC VINYL GRADING GUIDELINES:

MINT (M) = Looks new. Shows no sign of use. Usually Dealer's Stock.

NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT PLUS (E+) = Shows that it has been played, otherwise near perfect.

EXCELLENT (E) = Shows slight wear with original shine. Minimum noise. No surface faults of any consequence.

NEAR EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT MINUS (E-) = Surface shows slight minor faults. May have slight noise.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) = Shows wear with light grayness in some of the grooves. May have some light scratches or rubs. Noise becoming a factor, but does not overwhelm the music.

VERY GOOD (VG) = The average playable record with grayness in the grooves, light scratches or rubs, noise is stronger but acceptable. Collectible.

VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-) = Major faults such as multiple scratches , rubs, digs and serious needle runs. Graying all over. Noise still tolerable. Has been played often. Still acceptable.

GOOD (G) = Not really good. Almost a filler. Major multiple faults. Noise exceeds music. Used only for a rare or scarce record.

Poor (P) = Filler only. Sold "as is" with no refund. Only the rarest records would be sold in this condition.

An additional Plus (+) and Minus (-) is used for more detailed accuracy.
