Description
JUNIPHER GREENE 1973 PSYCH PROG 1st pressing LP NORWAY orig NM!!!
On sale here is the Junipher Greene: "Communication" 1973, Norway/On records.
ON rec.1973, ONLPS-1 Stereo Norwegian press. Labels are perfect !
Both disc and cover are completely STONE NEAR MINT.
Mind you there are two editions of this very rare album.
This is the orig 1st press with BLACK rear..and a small picture of the band, used only for the first batch (1000 copies) and then IMMEDIATELY VANISHED!!!
Afterwards it came with a white rear and large picture of the band and these are more "common"! (though common is maybe not the correct wording here as it was a very limited quantity also of this pressing) . See picture of this 2nd pressing only to show you the difference/not included in this auction : ).
Original pressings have original die-cut innersleeve – see pictures.
Beautiful cover art on this LP – a fabtasy drawing from norwegian artist Paal Melberg.
The two first Junipher Greene LPs are just awesome and impossible to find. Band fits in the same bag as The Old Man & The Sea or Aunt Mary – and some say Gravy Train, with loads of heavy riffing guitars, organ, vibraphones and moogs. This is quite a legendary item, one of the crown jewels of the early Scandinavian progressive scene!
