Jackie Gleason, "And Awaaay We Go!" 10" LP, Capitol H 511; VG+ cover/E record(superb copy; plays like new- very small, c. 1/4 tear on cover, below the words High Fidelity). Not the Jackie Gleason Orchestra, but the man himself in portrayals of his characters, including The Poor Soul, Reggie Van Gleason, Joe The Bartender, The Loudmouth and Fenwick Babbitt. This record is a real tour de force of The Great One from the early days of his TV show. This great record is from the estate of a very particular used record dealer who was in the business for more than 30 years. I had a used record store for more than 13 years in Texas and did more than 20 Austin(Texas) Record Shows as a dealer and he was perhaps my greatest source for rare and unusual records from the early 1900s on to the '80s. His 10" LPs(including this one) had outer as well as inner sleeves(he had special apparatus to make 10" sleeves). See more from this collection in my other currrent auctions.
