Jackie Lomax / Sour Milk Sea & The Eagle Laughs At You / 1st 1968 Pressing / with ERRORS / VG++
Songs: Sour Milk Sea & The Eagle Laughs at You
Apple USA 45 by Jackie Lomax. This 45 was released in August of 1968 with little fanfare. What many people did not know was that the backing band was made of the top musicians at the time. Eric Clapton on lead guitar, George Harrison on rhythm guitar, Billy Preston on keyboards, Paul McCartney on bass and Ringo Starr on drums.
Two errors are present in this 45. "The Eagle Laughs at You" is credited to George Harrison, but it should be credited to Jackie Lomax. The publishing company should be Apple Music on "Sour Milk Sea", being that it's a George Harrison composition, instead it's credited to Python Music.
This record has some light marks on the vinyl, the sound is great, no skips, very glossy. "Sour Milk Sea" was re-released in the early 70's, but this one is the much sought after pressing. Clean Apple Sleeve included.
