Jackie McLean "Jackie McLean & Co." original LP, Prestige # 7087, mono 1957, W. 50th St. N.Y.C. pressing
This auction is for an original copy of the rare jazz album "Jackie McLean & Co." by Jackie McLean. Sesssion features McLean on alto sax, Bill Hardman on trumpet, Mal Walsron on piano, Doug Watkins on bass, Arthur Taylor on drums, and Ray Draper on tuba. Record has the deep groove yellow and black Prestige "fireworks" label with the W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address, RVG etched in dead wax . Album is an original and was obtained along with many other 50s and early 60s jazz records from original owner. Vinyl is NM and appears unplayed with no scuffs or scratches and plenty of shine. Glossy heavy cardboard jacket is VG (close to VG+) with some minor storage wear and two 5 inch pieces of clear tape on top and bottom spines in middle covering splits (tape is very old looking, maybe a early attempt to stop middle splits), still a very good looking and sounding copy of this rare record. Please see photo below. Will ship well packed in cardboard record mailer.
