Revolutionary stuff for sale today! Bop stylist Jackie McLean's fascination with free jazz and the music of Ornette Coleman in particular took him to some fascinating places on the border of freedom and orthodoxy, and nowhere was that region explored better than on this album, New and Old Gospel. He is joined by Ornette himself on trumpet, and master drummer Billy Higgins, among others.
This is a beautiful copy. I believe it's an original pressing, having been released after Blue Note became a part of the Liberty Records family. If the photos give you reason to doubt it's an original, please let me know at once and I will alter the listing!
The sleeve has a promo stamp in the upper right corner of the front (this is an embossed/imprinted stamp, not an ink stamp). Cover is really lovely. Very slight ringwear, slight corner split on the lower right. I'd say NM or VG+.
The record doesn't look like it was played much. Very slight scuffs, if any. It could use a good cleaning from a vacuum or ultrasonic device. Definitely a VG, and it would probably go up half a grade once you clean it.
