Jackie McLean Right Now! 1966 US Blue Note VG/G+ First Pressing Stereo
New York labels Stereo VAN GELDER in runouts.
There is no Plastylite ear, so this is a Liberty pressing using old stock New York labels.
A great copy of Right Now! - one of Jackie McLean's best albums.
There are major seam splits top and bottom, break up on the spine, ring wear and some wrinkling on back of sleeve (see pics). I do not store the record inside the sleeve as it is too fragile. Writing on back, top left, in pencil. It does not have the original inner sleeve.
Vinyl is between VG+ & VG, plays really well, with some background noise and some occasional clicks. Sounds incredible on my system.
Play tested loud with Rega Planar P10 turntable/Apheta Cartridge/Luxman 550uXII amp/KEF R3 Speakers
Overall sound is outstanding, very clear, detailed, dynamic; great soundstage.
A1 10 very light clicks towards end of piano solo;
A2 very light clicks for about 1 minute; some further surface noise over the track but very light and unobtrusive; some clicks at start of JM solo but mostly covered up by the music;
B1 just a few passing clicks during JM solo but hard to tell as mostly covered by music; maybe a few clicks in drum solo;
B2 – almost perfect; I heard one click during piano solo.
All vinyl is from my own collection and is graded visually using the Discogs/Goldmine Standard. Vinyl will be removed from outer sleeve and placed in resealable plastic sleeve.
