Description
Up for sale is Jackie McLean's "Swing Swang Swingin" from 1959, Blue Note BLP 4024 with 43 West 61st St. New York address on the back sleeve and 47 West 63rd NYC on the label of the record itself. The LP is mono, deep groove, etched with RVG BN LP 4024 A-1 and B-1 on either side. This is an ULTRA RARE original Blue Note.
The vinyl itself is in incredible NM condition; it looks virtually unplayed. I say "virtually" unplayed because both sides do have some VERY minor abrasions, think almost imperceptible, tiny scuffs (2 on the A-side, 1 on the B-side). This is all so tiny that I can't get it to show up in pictures. It is quite literally imperceptible to the ear, and almost entirely imperceptible to the eye.
The sleeve is in VG condition: no ring wear on the front, minor ring wear on the back. The front sleeve has a small patch missing from the top, left corner (see picture) and what appears to be clear residue from a sticker in the bottom left. The back has a patch that's worn off (again, likely from a sticker) in the top left, as well as the tag "J-402" written in green pen in the top right. The spine is in-tact with minor dog-ears at the very top and bottom. The top seam is great, while the bottom seam has a few white patches and is split about two inches from the open side. The opening has minor dog-earing in a few places on the front and none on the back.
I am a professor of music who inherited these records from a collector a few years back. I have many that are rare and in extremely good condition. I am now moving across the country for a new position and have decided to sell off a number of records to collectors/audiophiles who can more seriously enjoy them.
Please PM me if you want extra pictures or more information. I am willing to sell and ship internationally.
