Description

Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.

This one is the first mono pressing of Jackie McLean's "McLEAN'S SCENCE".  New Jazz Records (Prestige sub label) NJLP-8212. This is an original issue from New Jazz Records, not a reissue version by Classic Records or Analog Productions.  Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1956 and 1957, with "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides.  Deep Groove on both labels.

Jackie McLean (tenor saxophone), Mal Waldron and Red Garland (piano), Bill Hardman (trumpet), Paul Chambers and Arthur Phipps (bass), Art Taylor (drums).

The vinyl played NM on side 1 and NM- on side 2. Grooves do not show any wear or damage. Some spindle marks on labels.

The cover is VG+ due to yellows on the back.  Otherwise O.K.  Strong and no split.  The spine is intact.

The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.

My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.

You will be satisfied.  And I will accept a free return.  Please bid with confidence.
