Description
Jackie Mittoo - Norwegian Wood/Gaylads - Picular Man Coxsone Rare Reggae/Rocksteady 7"
This is a lovely single on the Coxsone label, a UK subsidiary of Studio One, with the great Jackie Mittoo (often spelt Mitto) from the Skatalites, and produced by Coxson Dodd. The A side is a cover of the Beatles song Norwegian Wood, and the B side has the Gaylads, the top Jamaican Rocksteady vocal group with a really nice rendition (sort of) of Paul Simon's "A Most Peculiar Man". Both sides have a few light scratches, but play nicely with the usual background noise, and no deep scratches or jumps. On the whole, condition at least a VG.
If you want to have a listen pop down to Turnstyle Records in Streatham, South London.
