Description

Any recording by the great Cellist Jacqueline du Pre is sought after. Her diagnosis of MS brought her career sadly to an end and her recordings are testament to her indomitable spirit and the intensity of her playing. Although it is the Elgar Concerto for which she is most famous )she has a wonderful rapport with Sir John Barbirolli) , she made her recording of Dvorak concerto in Chicago in 1970 with her husband Daniel Barenboim conducting, whom she married in 1967 .


This copy of ASD 2751 is in exceptional condition and has been cleaned on a record cleaning machine.
