ARTIST / TITLE : JACQUES DENJEAN et SON ORCHESTRE "UN DISQUE A TOUT CASSER"
LABEL : POLYDOR (#46138)
CONDITION (Record/Cover) : VG+/EX
COMMENT : Very rare original french LP issued in the mid 60's on Polydor. Excellent blend of instrumental Jazzy Boogaloo, Funky Jerk, Rhythm & Blues, and exotic Jazz, featuring Hammond organ, brass, latin percussions, as well as some back female wordless choruses by members of the legendary scat vocal group "Les Double Six". It contains very good covers, like a great latin version of the Herbie Hancock classic "Watermelon man", "Sally go round the roses", and original compositions with stunning 60's mod dancer sound. Although it is on a major label, the sound of this album can be compared to an early music library recording ; and by the way, the tunes "La route", "Pour vous mesdames", "Dans le vent", and "Sally go round the roses" were used as jingle for French radio & TV shows in the 60's.
The vinyl is shiny, it presents some visual marks but plays and sounds nice, the laminated cover is very clean. A solid and very rare lp which is rarely seen !!

VG+ = Record is really nice, may present a few visible marks which are slightly audible. Sleeve may present a few flaws like light openings, ringwear...
VG = Record has been played often, presents some visible and audible marks. Sleeve shows noticeable defects like heavy split seam, tears...
VG- = Record doesn't look nice because of general wear, it is in playable condition, but some/all tracks are noisy or click. Sleeve has noticeable general wear.
