This is an original stereo mint sealed first pressing of Jake Holmes, The Above Ground Sound, released in 1967 on Tower Records, a subsidiary of Capitol Records, which included the original song "Dazed and Confused, later adapted and recorded by Led Zeppelin and issued on their first LP.

The Above Ground Sound of Jake Holmes is the debut album of American singer songwriter Jake Holmes, released in June 1967 on Tower Records. The album consists of songs played on bass and two electric guitars with no drummer.

The album is best known for the song "Dazed and Confused because rock band Led Zeppelin member Jimmy Page took the title, came up with a new set of lyrics, and changed enough of the melody to escape a plagiarism lawsuit. Dazed and Confused was included in Led Zeppelin's 1969 debut album Led Zeppelin. The Led Zeppelin version was not credited to Jake Holmes. While Holmes took no action at the time, he did later contact Jimmy Page in regards to the matter but received no reply. In June 2010, Holmes filed a lawsuit against the guitarist for copyright infringement in a United States District Court claiming Page knowingly copied his work.

The LP is  completely sealed although there is slight corner wear on each corner at the mouth. There is missing shrink wrap of about an inch near the top of the cover at the mouth. The lower corner at the spine is slightly crimped but the top left corner at the spine is excellent. There is also a small area of missing shrink along the bottom seam but no wear is evident. There is also cut out hole at the top left corner of the cover. Over all, the cover is very clean and in excellent condition and has affixed original store price sticker.

The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the item is still sealed
