Description
Out Front! is an album by pianist Jaki Byard recorded in 1964 and released on the Prestige label. Features some tremendous work from tenorist Booker Ervin and trumpeter Richard Williams! Byard starts out the set in trio formation for the first two numbers, and then Ervin and Williams slide in on the following two tracks – really expanding the sound with a nice sense of added fire.
This is the 1973 pressing on Prestige. The vinyl is in very good (VG+) shape, sounds very nice overall with the occasional pop, click, crackle in the background that does not detract from the listening experience. The cover is also in very good (VG+) shape - no splits, the seams are in good shape. There’s some slight discoloration along the title seam, front cover on the bottom left curves in a bit, and I’ve tried to include photos that show shelf wear and the back white cover not being as clean as it used to be. Having said all that, it’s a strong solid cover. Will wrap it up properly for shipping.
