Description
This LP by the female UK folk artist Jaki whitren is titled “raw but tender†and is an original UK issue from 1973 on the epic label and includes the original lyric inner. There is a silver sticker on front cover detailing that the album contains the single “give her the dayâ€. This LP is one of those really rare UK folk albums, it was in the record collector magazine article last year on undiscovered and highly collectable UK folk LP’s others were ernie graham, roger bunn, gordon jenkins etc. The backing on the album is phenomenal, including members of fotheringay, matthews southern comfort and jazz luminaries. Personnel include pat donaldson, gerry conway, albert lee, rob young, gordon huntley, frank ricotti, harry beckett, stuart cowell. All tracks except one were composed by jaki whitren herself. The back cover is in excellent condition. The front cover is excellent except for a thin long indentation in the centre [not a split] else it is fine [see photo]. The disc and labels are in total excellent condition. This is a really nice copy of a megarare UK folk album. .
