James Luther "Jim" Dickinson Dixie Fried LP on Atlantic SD 8299, still in shrink. This is a rare LP from the Southern soul/r&b legend maverick producer... these aren't often seen, especially not in excellent shape as this copy is. Original shrink still intact, LP and cover are EX+, looks and sounds rarely, if ever played. Features Jim's studio cat buddies like Dr. John, Sid Selvidge & more. Recorded at Sun Studio, Ardent Studios, Criteria Studios in Miami, and features production and engineering from John Fry, Tom Dowd, Knox Phillips, Richard Rosebrough & more. A real who's who of Memphis studio guys. This is a super nice copy of this rare LP. Jim was a wildman producer who was part of the Dixie Flyers house band for Atlantic Records in the 60s/70s, and also produced two of the coolest records ever, Big Star's Third / Sister Lovers and Alex Chilton's Like Flies On Sherbert.
