James Taylor – ‘Love With Hope’ / ‘Everything About You’ – Ovide 242 (US)
No introduction necessary! Backed by one of the swingingest bands ever, the T.S.U. Toronados – of which Taylor was an early member – this is a simply superb piece of Texas Soul: heartfelt vocals, great musicianship. (Incidentally, the backing track later appeared as ‘Play The Music Toronadoes’ on Volt.) Houston’s Ovide label is very collectable, and this is one of its finest releases. Top copy, don’t miss it!
Condition: Excellent; a little dust, that’s all (please listen to the clips). Clean labels (please see scan).

Shipping from Sweden is expensive – though the rest of the world is surely catching up – not least due to the fact that the weight increments are few and far apart, but it’s usually swift and safe.
