Description

CBS Records   63392   M-/M-   MONO    1968.   matrix nos. 63392 A1/B1    UK original album..in MONO!!   Impossible to find.  Certainly, one of the truely great "live" albums was Big Brother & the Holding Company - Cheap Thrills.  Of course, featuring Janis Joplin on vocals.  Ranking right up there with The Who-Live At Leeds, Purple's-Made In Japan, and a few more, Cheap Thrills is a GEM!!  Janis never had a finer recorded performance, Sam Andrews grinding guitar work is immense!! Songs include, Summertime, Piece of My Heart, Ball and Chain, and more.   The laminated cover is printed and made by Ernest J. Day Ltd. London.  It is very clean, crisp corners, beautiful colors and NEAR MINT.  The vinyl is very shiny, super clean, and a gorgeous NEAR MINT.  The labels have a few spindle marks, but are totally clean.  A BEAUTY!!

As Always, ALL records are from MY OWN PERSONAL collection of OVER 47 years and again..NO JUNK!!!

I specialize in selling PROMOTIONAL albums in rock n' roll and jazz from the 1960's and 1970's. PROMO albums are usually pressed from the original master tapes in an extremely limited quantity, and are 1ST pressings!!! Many are issued with white labels, others have radio timing strips on the cover, just a promo sticker or gold cover stamps. Given out selectively to radio stations before the stock release, they generally have superior sound quality, are RARE, collectable, and getting VERY SCARCE!!!

PLEASE NOTE: I clean all my records with a PROFESSIONAL Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine, if necessary. I pack ALL records carefully. Records are placed outside of the record cover in a clear plastic record sleeve. Albums are bubble wrapped for safety and mailed in a STRONG cardboard record mailer box.
