Janis Joplin "Wicked Woman" Vintage Vinyl LP
Live "Unofficial Release" of an Audience Recording of Janis Joplin's last Public Performance with the Full Tilt Boogie Band on August 12, 1970 at Harvard Stadium in Boston, Massachusetts.
for this Performance, the Full Tilt Boogie band Performed with makeshift Loaned Amplifiers after their Regular Equipment was Stolen in Boston.
This is an amazing listen for any Joplin fan as it documents her final show with the Full Tilt Boogie Band. This is also the only time on record that "Mercedes Benz" was ever recorded live in front of an audience. The sound quality is what you might expect from an audience recording of that time, but overall sounds good enough to hear Janis's final concert.
Record is in EX condition. It has only been played a couple of times since I've owned it. Remember that this was an unofficial release in the 70's that is audience recorded so please do not expect 100% audio perfection. It is however a good listen & the record itself plays great. Comes with generic cover & an insert that acts as a cover image as it's shown in the picture. Note that with a lot of copies of this LP the insert was glued or taped to the front of the generic cover, it is not with this copy. This is how it originally came & you will receive it with the generic cover & the picture insert inside of it. It is placed on the cover in the photo so you could see it with the record. Also the original paper sleeve that housed this LP is inside the cover. The LP has been placed in a poly-lined inner sleeve outside of the jacket for protection. Also comes with dust jacket.
