Description
Janssen Symphony 78rpm Album Set Artist Records #JS-10
“Genesis Suite”
Complete in five 12-inch shellac records
Comments: Janssen Symphony Of Los Angeles – Werner Janssen, Conductor
Chorus Directed by Hugo Strelitzer
Narration: Edward Arnold (courtesy of M-G-M Studios)
Composers: Shilkret, Tansman, Milhaud, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Toch, Stravinsky, Schoenberg
Disc Conditions: (All) E+/NM-
Album Cover Condition: VG, clear tape repairs around edges, and book binding tape around
back cover edges. The inside front panel (liner notes) around the edges of the paper pasted
on the board has fraying edges which is covered with clear tape, and looks like it was eaten
away by silverfish?
NOTE:
Amazingly while the album cover is not in the greatest of shape, the records inside survived in near mint condition? This is a rare twentieth century contemporary classical set, which in the 78rpm format, you are not likely to find anytime soon; and especially in the condition these discs are in! Because this was pressed by an independent label I cannot vouch for the quality of the shellac they used, but I will sample play the records by request only.

Standard record grading: P poor G good VG very good E excellent NM near mint M mint
With a plus or minus depending on variables such as how much groove luster remains, sound quality, wear and
abuse. 78rpm records can look bad but sound great! They stand up to abuse much better than LP's or 45's!
Thanks for looking in - reasonable offers excepted on all buy it now listings.
