Jay Mitchell And The Mitchellites-Spirits Of Fire (Freeport Sounds 196?). Original copy of this rare private press funk n' soul monster from the Bahamas. Killer grooves on cuts like 'Apache Dance' and 'Do Your Thing.' There's even some heavy fuzz guitar solos on a couple of cuts.
Songs: Grand Bahamarama, Goombay Man In Heat, Goombay Summer In Freeport, Goombay Gambol, Funky Soul In Freeport, Apache Dance, Do Your Thing, Mothers Let Them Be, Aint No Sunshine, Just An Argument, First Time I Saw Your Face.
Vinyl: Solid VG+. Overall the record plays strong with some scattered light tics and crackly spots due to light marks, a few light scratches, and some scuffs. The ballads 'Aint No Sunshine' and 'First Time I Saw Your Face' have a lot of tics. Still a solid copy with the funky grooves coming through strong.
Cover: Strong VG+. There's an old price written in blue marker on the upper right corner of the front cover. Front and back covers have ring wear and overall wear as well as some edge chipping. The back cover also has a few small fingertip-sized abrasions. Seams n' spine have light wear, corners knocked n' worn.
