Description
Thelonious Monk, Thelonious, on Prestige 142. Rare 10" LP has full original shine, no spindle marks, looks like it's seen very little handling or play. Very strong VG+ pushing M-, with just a few very light, superficial marks. As with most of these early Prestige disks, there is a little periodic surface noise from the original pressing, and an occasional tick even when there is nothing visible in the grooves to cause it. Front cover shows general wear, rear cover has moderate aging, heavier around the edges, with one small stain that doesn't intrude on text. Five-inch split in top seam. A superior copy of one of the rarest Monk records.

GRADING
M- A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG+ Full gloss, some light marks. A very, very attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG More marks and scratches, will have some surface noise, but still a playable record. Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG- Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.
G+ and G Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
