Description
Donald Byrd, Byrd's Word, on Savoy 12032. Original deep-groove, mono pressing, quite rare. Looks weak VG+ with a few light scratches, two relatively wide scuffs on Side 1, Track 1 that look bad but don't make a sound. The record plays fabulously, sounds M- with great fidelity. Cover has quite a few small issues: A 1/2" tear in the front at right, some lifting of the laminate, multiple short seam splits at right, left, and center, bit of tape staining and general wear on back. No writing, holes, etc., graphics still bold and unmarred.
GRADING
M- A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG+ Full gloss, some light marks. A very, very attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG More marks and scratches, will have some surface noise, but still a playable record. Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG- Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.
G+ and G Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
