Description
Helen Merrill on Emarcy 36006. Mono, deep-groove original copy. VG++ shape. A-side vinyl has one fingernail scuff that does not affect play, a couple of light scratches, otherwise pristine. B-side is slightly nicer, but has hazy vinyl from the original pressing process, though it doesn't affect the sound quality. Laminated front cover is very pretty with minimal wear. Rear cover shows light wear, age discoloration along spine. This is the rarer cover variation, with blue ink. One-inch seam split at bottom edge. Overall, a very fine copy of a very rare and sought-after record.
Note that I am currently selling a superb collection consisting heavily of mid-century jazz and vocalists. These records were kept in magnificent shape by their owner, so check my other auctions now and over the coming weeks.
GRADING
M- A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG++ Superb record, full gloss with a few superficial marks that do not sound.
VG+ Full gloss, light marks or scuffs, but an attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG More marks and scratches, but still a decent record. Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG- Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems. Not a beautiful record, but still serviceable, not junk.
G+ and G Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
SHIPPING
Overseas Air Mail is $14 for the first record plus $4 for each additional record.
I pack LPs in professional mailers, with the disk in its paper sleeve outside the cover and both disk and cover housed in a three-mil plastic sleeve.
