Description
Rare FREDDIE HUBBARD, "Hub-Tones" Blue Note 4115 LP. Blue Note Records BLP 4115 (Mono). Blue and White, New York Label with "VAN GELDER" & Ear mark in Deadwax Trailing. NM-/EX-. This LP came from a collection once owned by local Seattle area Jazz DJ and like nearly all of his LPs was rarely played! Freddie Hubbard, at the time of this recording, was just 24 years old and his playing was wonderfully optimistic. He's in partnership with the excellent but undersung James Spaulding (alto saxophone and flute), and a superb rhythm section of Herbie Hancock, Reggie Workman and Clifford Jarvis...and the playing is full of pith and moment. It's an early 1960s classic. Highly recommended for jazz aficionados. Really amazing album, another great find!

Cover has very slight wear, with a couple small (1 1/2 inch) "promotion copy" stamps on back, preventing Mint grade. Record has very slight wear, with a few light scuffy scratches, preventing Near Mint grade. We guarantee all of our LPs to be as described.
