Description
In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop, the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat is releasing 50 of the original 500 test pressings from 1983 of Beat Bop from the personal collection of the artist. Produced through Tartown Records Co., a label Basquiat established specifically for this pressing, Beat Bop was named one of the “100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time" by Rolling Stone.
A chance to own a piece of history. Sealed test pressing from 1983. Has a very small tear in the plastic wrap, see photo. Overall in great condition considering its over 40 years old. Includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the Basquiat Estate, numbered sleeve and case #20/50, and custom storage bag. The vinyl has been placed in an additional plastic protection sleeve. The leathered numbered sleeve fits tight so this allows for removal without risking tearing the thin plastic wrap they used in the 80s. Ships via UPS 2 DAY AIR unless other arrangements made prior.
