Description
Jeff Beck's 2nd solo offering, released late in 1969. Most of the 1st pressings were made in stereo and only a very few in the now extremely rare MONO. This brand of heavy rock is far more suited to the direct, in your face mono mix, the same as on his 1st album, "Truth". In an article in "Guitarist" he is quoted as stating that his 1st two albums are his personal favorites. You can hear where Led Zep got a lot of inspiration from! The album, pressed on thick quality 1st edition vinyl is in superb condition, as is the original flip-back Garrod & Lofthouse cover, with on the front again a depiction of a painting by René Magritte, in this case, "The Listening Room"
"Truth" and "Beck-ola" both heralded and initiated the birth of hard rock, which Led Zeppelin took to further heights. Personnel on the album are: Jeff Beck - guitar Ron Wood - bass Nicky Hopkins - Piano Tony Newman - drums Vocals - Rod Stewart
This MONO 1st pressing edition is extremely rare and much better than the stereo!
