Description
Jeff Buckley started recording demos in early 1997 in preparation for a forthcoming session in Memphis. However he was not entirely happy with the results and he sent his band back to New York while he stayed behind to work on the songs. The band was scheduled to return to Memphis for rehearsals and recording sessions May 29. Jeff went for a swim in the Mississippi that night and was never seen again.
After Buckley's death, a collection of the demo recordings and a full-length album he had been reworking for his second album were released as Sketches for my Sweetheart the Drunk, the compilation being overseen by his mother, Mary Guibert and band members and produced by Tom Verlaine.
This is the British first pressing of the album on Columbia, 1998, 3C 67228. Excellent condition, barely played as you can see from the photos. Slight crease on front of outer sleeve.
