Jeff St John's Copperwine- Joint Effort (Original Australian stereo Spin label pressing)

This album is a classic example of Australian prog rock- with some psych elements too. A great, eclectic listen, all the way through, from heavy prog and psych elements, to blues, and some softer bits too. Great version of 'Reach out'. Very hard to find. Features Billy Thorpe (Aztecs).

The band members are:

Jeff St John- Vocals, Ross East- Electric and acoustic guitar, vocal; Barry Kelly- Organ, piano, clarinet, vocal; Alan Ingham- bass, vocal; Peter fugures- drums, percussion, guitar, vocal.

This album is undated, but is a classic example of the 69-72 era prog/ psych rock, and has to come from one of those years- not later. It is also an uncharasterically long album for this time- clocking not much below 60 mins.

CONDITION (see descriptions below) VG+ (has minor scratches, minor marks, and some wear, but plays beautifully- you'd swear it was a better grading, sound wise)

Cover- see picture. Very clean, and presents very nicely for age. Just has minor wear visible on front (mainly around edges), and back has a ringmark that is noticeable, but not at all severe. No splits or tears.

It is worth noting that postage may work out cheaper if you are buying mutliple items- I work out all combined postage by weight, not on a per item basis. That way you have the best chance to get a good deal on postage rates, wherever you live. I have a huge list of other interesting titles currently on ebay so check them out at "sellers other items" - you may be suprised what you'll find!!!!

HANDLING PERIOD: I always do my best to post within 24 hrs of receiving payment, but because I live in a rural area, this cannot always be possible. If there is some reason preventing my usual fast postage regime, I will notify you.

INSURANCE: Please tell me if you want your item insured or registered (in the case of domestic postage). I will give you the relevant price quote for these additional costs, as quickly as possible.

Grading/ condition descriptions.

ABOUT THIS GRADING SCALE: it is meant to reflect both the appearance and sound quality of the LP in question. If I ever have doubts re. grading, I play test the item in question. I endeavour to keep my vinyl clean, and so an LP rated EX, for instance, should play that way without you having to clean it first! I try to be careful and tough with my grading (as I hate it when I buy LPs online that don't meet what I think these grades are!), but if you are not satisfied for any reason- please contact me!

Those of you that are perfectionists should not be disappointed with anything in the scales between MINT and EXCELLENT, but if the item is below that rating, please read the descriptions carefully! 

I occasionally use a + or - to show if the LP is on the high or low side of that grade. That does not mean, however, that an EX-, for instance, is the same as VG+.

MINT: new/ unplayed. I only give this grading if I can verify that it is unused. LPS that look flawless, without that verification will be MINT-

NEAR MINT Very minor flaws/ very few fine lines or imperfections. In general- will look& sound great

EXCELLENT Minor flaws/ wear such as fine lines, fine scuffs, or minor scratches that will have a minimal impact on play response.  Sound quality should be great!

VERY GOOD Will have flaws such as scuffs, scratches, wear or other marks, but these will not be significant enough for the record to play badly. In fact, typically an LP with this grading will play and sound fine- no probs for those of you who like to listen to your vinyl; just not recommended for those of you that are perfectionists. Take note of any additional comments I might make with items of this grade- especially if they are below the VG+ level. They will usually be scuffier below this level.

GOOD An LP with this grading will have significant scratches, scuffs or other wear. I only will list items with this grading if obscure or of significant interest, and in this case I will play test it and give a detailed response to how well it plays in the general item description above. Usually an LP with this grading will play OK, but could have louder crackles, and/or clicks; depending on variablility between turntables there could be tracking issues too.

About ME: My husband and I are both collectors of music, books, tapes, CDs and other interesting retro items, and usually only sell when we have stockpiled enough stuff we are no longer interested in, to make it viable. Usually we are just happy buying rather than selling!!
