Description

This is the very first 1966 UK mono pressing of this LP on RCA Victor with a ridged label. Catalogue number RD 7889. It has had just one careful owner since its release 38 years ago. The slight rounding of the sleeve photographs are just quirks of the camera perspective.

The sleeve:

The Clout & Baker sleeve is in excellent condition. The spine is stiff with all details clearly readable. The four corners are all as they should be, and show no handling or storage wear whatsoever. The front cover laminate is also in fantastic shape with minimal, if not non-existent, marks from shelf storage and ring wear. There are no scuffs or creases. The open edge of the sleeve shows some very slight feathering. The unlaminated rear of the sleeve is also - considering its age and colour - in great shape. There are no stains and only some very slight ring wear / grubbiness to the top. The very slight feathering can also be found along the open edge of the sleeve here too.

The record:

Side one has three very small paper scuffs across track one. And one scuff or brush mark across track six and the run off. There are a few spindle marks to the label, including one annoyingly long one; but it only shows when the light catches it. Side two has one very, very light surface scratch across track two. There are also a few spindle marks to this label.

That’s all the damage I can see (but I guess these things are all relative). And none of these marks affect the playing of the record.

I could spin you a line by saying something like - this is best condition copy of this record that I have ever seen. But, in fact, it’s the only copy I’ve ever seen!

For what it’s worth, it’s in its original white inner sleeve.
