Hello. Up for auction is a still SEALED album, "Surrealistic Pillow" by Jefferson Airplane! 1. "Surrealistic Pillow" on RCA LSP 3766 from 1967. Sealed! Has all the signs of a first pressing. The weight and feel and price tag say so. Pretty confident that it is, but no way to know 100%. Tight shrink. Vibrant colors. Tiny corner ding, upper left. Price tag. Including a spare NM cover along with this sealed album! Note that the spare cover is actually a mono cover, with a stereo slick pasted over it. See the back, lower right hand corner. You''ll see "LPM" there. Rca must have used up their mono covers while switching over to stereo. Mono was going out of style. A few years later, there would hardly be any mono albums anymore. Just stereo. Maybe Rca had some mono covers left over and just decided to paste over it with a stereo slick. I have a few Rolling Stones albums where this is the case. Why throw these extra mono covers out? Why not make use of them? The consumers did not notice or care. Pretty nice shape cover too. A classic from that era.
