FIRST PRESSING • 2S / 1S Matrix Original RARE Banned REVOLTING Insert Original BLACK custom Inner Sleeve .

VINYL is NEAR MINT / EX
Thick Solid, non-flexible Vinyl is super clean with strong gloss. Side One (EX) has a very faint, thin surface scuff, visible under hard bright light, that is inaudible. Side Two is full NM with no marks. Labels are pristine both sides.

COVER is NEAR MINT -
Still in the complete original Factory Shrink Wrap. Slightly bumped, still sharp corners are the only thing to keep this cover from a full Near Mint grade. No wear, writing, age-toning, creases, bends or soil. Seams and flat gatefold spine are completely intact with no wear or splits. Spine titles are crisp, sharp and 100% legible.

UNCENSORED with the RARE 'REVOLTING' Insert, that was almost immediately PULLED
...and replaced by the revised “VOLUNTEERS" headed insert. It's estimated that less than 1% of all surviving copies came with the "REVOLTING" insert. The most likely reason for the RCA executive Decision to scrap the 'Revolting' insert is that the word appears right next to a prominently displayed derogatory reference to then President RICHARD NIXON, which could have either been construed as (verb) a call to revolution against the sitting President  - or (adjective) an offensive reference to the (then) newly elected Tricky Dick.

BACK side of the REVOLTING insert has a single horizontal strip of clear tape across the center fold, where it had begun to split. See LAST PHOTO INSERT is otherwise in EXCELLENT, crisp, clean condition. See LAST 2 PHOTOs
2S / 1S WEST COAST FIRST PRESS with the Original DEEP GROOVE LABELS *NOT* the very thin, flimsy Dynagroove vinyl that had very similar looking orange labels. This LP was the first Jefferson Airplane album issued with their RCA's Bright Orange Labels - this is thick, non-flexible, solid Vinyl  ...with very solid Sound Quality - Unlike (peeyeww!) Dynagroove.
