Description

Jerry Garcia, best known as the guitarist and voice of the Grateful Dead, teamed up with mandolin great David Grisman in 1993 for this one, a collection of old folk and children’s songs done up in their signature acoustic style. It’s not just a kids’ record though. Critics and fans have always pointed out how much adults get out of it too, thanks to the loose, playful chemistry between the two players. It even picked up a Notable Children’s Recording nod from the American Library Association back when it came out.

This deluxe edition, released in November 2025 on Round Records and Acoustic Disc, marks the album’s first ever pressing to vinyl. David Grisman remastered the whole thing himself and added four bonus tracks pulled from his archive, including a couple of previously unreleased alternate takes. Pressed by Paramount Pressing with lacquers cut by Chris Muth at Taloowa Mastering. 2xLP on black vinyl in a gatefold jacket.
