Description

Jerry Garcia “Run For The Roses” 1982 Promo, Vinyl NM Cover VG+ Arista AL 9603.


40 year old gold stamped promotional copy. The vinyl looks unplayed, the cover has a corner cut lower right, and the promo stamp is on the rear top right corner. The cover has a crease or two and a faint shade of ring wear. The blue generic inner sleeve is totally intact with no seam splits. Overall a fabulous first press vintage copy to play and collect.


Jerry’s 4th and final solo album. Playing with him are some of his cast of favorites; John Kahn on Bass, Ron Tutt Drums, Melvin Seals Organ Merl Saunders Organ James Warren Piano and more. Great Garcia/Hunter songs like the title track “Run For The Roses” and “Valerie” plus interesting covers; “I Saw Her Standing There” “Without Love”, the Dead ubiquitous “Knocking On Heaven’s Door” are here.
