Description
Here is a SUPER RARE vintage Jerry Lee Lewis ALBUM and 45 rpm SINGLE from my collection offered up for sale: A VINTAGE 1958 SUN Records LP. "The Killer" Jerry Lee Lewis' 1st ever album on SUN Records LP 1230, this was Jerry's first album with Memphis based Sun Records! What a debut album!! Songs include: Hank Williams' Jambalaya and Elvis Presley's "Don't be Cruel", Carl Perkins' "Matchbox" (later covered by the Beatles), Jerry Lee's own "High School Confidential" and many more! This IS the Original 1st pressing released in 1958 featuring the heavy rigid disc and MICROGROOVE Sun labels in MONO, this album is 57 years old and has been loved but also well cared for! The heavy weight "Microgroove" vinyl rates VG+, is clean and glossy, has some light marks on both sides, has been PLAY TESTED. Plays great from start to finish with very good sound quality, minimal surface noise, a few errant pops, still a very enjoyable listen, no jumps, no skips! The Rock & Roll really comes thorough! The jacket rates EX, front is clean and has gloss, red is super bright, frame worthy portrait of Jerry, has had little wear, one bump on lower seam, all other edges and corners EX, no tape, back has super faint pen signature at top, minimal ring wear only on back, no stains, a great cover! A RARE play worthy, hard to find SUN RECORDS relic!
PLUS ++++ Also included is an original 1957 SUN single by the killer Jerry Lee Lewis "Great balls of fire" / "You Win Again" which features Jerry Lee doing his own rendition of Hank Williams, cool! This is an original 7" 45 RPM record from 1957 released on Sun records 281. The heavy weight vinyl record looks NEAR MINT, is super clean and glossy, has maybe one faint mark, has been PLAY TESTED. Plays with some light surface noise, but plays great from start to finish for a 58 year old, the Rock n Roll really comes through! Own it now with my fair BUY IT NOW price! Will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve inside a secure record mailing box with tracking number. Vinyl will be shipped in paper sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits.
