Label/Format: DERAM – Original Brown and White format (Not the later Red & White label - Please see my label photos).
Label Conditions: Both practically mint. Two of the best labels you will ever seen on one of the rarest ever UK Heavy Prog albums. These are truly immaculate with tiny and faint dis-colouration only on the white part of label. This is due to age rather than damage. No spindle marks.
Mode / Speed: Stereo / 33.3 rpm.
Cat Number: Decca DERAM Stereo SDL6.

Condition: I have just played this to check it one last time. No warp, beautiful full heavy sound. While we are at it, no skips, no jumps, no scratches and only about 4 seconds of surface noise between tracks 2 & 3 on side 2.
Weight of this Record: A very substantial 157 grams. Only a small percentage of ‘vintage vinyl’ was ever pressed this heavy. Records pressed in the 1960s averaged around 135 to 145 grams. Records pressed in the 1970s were usually lighter and averaged more around 115 – 125 grams.
Country of Manufacture: England.

Rarity & Details: VERY RARE almost legendary and rarely seen. This is a genuine rarity, not impossible, but very hard to find in this quite remarkable condition. This album sold in tiny numbers and how many will ever survive in near mint conditions? I grade this record as EX++ - Near Mint.
Jerusalem were an early 70’s band and this is their only album, but what a claim to fame this treasure was, a forerunner of heavy metal it has astonishing slabs of sound.
Cover: A gatefold laminated format made with thick card. Printed and made in England by Robert Stace, laminated with Clarifoil.
Cover Front & Back: Gatefold, laminated. The artwork is breathtaking and looks like an old master painting. There is barely a rub or mark to the surface front or back, inner or outer and the colour is as fresh and clean as when printed back in 1972. No creasing to the card, 5 very minor 1 cm creases to the laminate only on front cover left edge and they barely even show. No ring-wear despite the heavy vinyl contained. Very minor & faint age dis-colouration on inner sides of gatefold. In terms of cover artwork, quality and rarity, this is a treasure.
Top Edge: A 1cm damage has occurred at top left corner of front of gatefold, 1mm wide it reveals inner card, otherwise perfect.
Bottom Edge: No damage at all. Record housing part of gatefold sleeve is unglued at bottom edge.
Right Edges: Clean, sharp, no scuffs or wear despite laminate ending a few mm short of the edge of the gatefold sleeve.
Spine and Text: Text is visible despite being positioned within the crease which has been laminated. Laminate has split for a length of 4 inches in centre of spine. The text is well centred and the really important parts still present and unworn (please see my close-up).
Corners: Fine shape is retained.
Cover Summary: A lovely example. This beautiful and rare cover should please most collectors.
The Inner: Not original, I have provided a generic era plain paper inner sleeve.
Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading: EX++- Near Mint. Good visual sheen, no defects.
Album Played For Grading: Yes, record is played in its entirety via Wharfdale that reveal every blemish or miniscule sound present on any record.
